Growing up in Sydney’s Hornsby area in the 1980s, Phil found his early passion in athletics. Inspired by his older brother, his dedication led to impressive achievements, including State records and National titles. After completing his education at local schools and Barker College, he built a successful 16-year career in Financial Services.
Life took an unexpected turn when Phil stepped away from his career to become a full-time carer for his terminally ill father – a decision that would reshape his perspective on life and family. Through life’s ups and downs, Phil’s journey has been one of growth, resilience, and learning from both successes and setbacks.
As a father and step-father to six children, Phil’s experience with family law through various courts has given him unique insights into the challenges of blended families. While acknowledging the deep emotional impact of family separation, he’s proud to have fostered positive relationships with both his ex-wife and his current wife’s ex-husband – proving that peaceful co-parenting is possible.
Drawing from his personal experience, Phil strongly believes in shared parenting and advocates for alternatives to immediate litigation in family disputes. His commitment to children’s wellbeing has inspired his newest venture: a business facilitating supervised visits and changeovers, launching in 2025.
